Hello, my name Is Gail Nataloni. I am an artist born and raised in New York. I have always loved all forms of art.. I come from a family filled with artists.
My family history is quite unique.
My grandfather, and great grandfathers were artists in different forms. One was a famous oil painter...he did murals for churches around the world... the other a famous stained glass artist that did churches as well. My family is filled with musicians, painters, wood carvers, photographers, and now... one of a kind jewelry artists! I guess it's in our blood.
My passion grew with the love of antiques, and art ... I started making jewelry many years ago, and wore it for my own pleasure ...but got so many people wanting to know where I got these pieces I decided to make a small business aout of it in 2006. I work out of Long Island, and love the beauty that surrounds me, the water has a big influence on many of my designs.
I use all kinds of mediums, Sterling silver, brass, copper, swarovski crystals and gem stones...even sea glass I find on our beaches!
I incorporated that into my one of a kind designs. I like to look at something old and create something new with it. I love the romance and beauty from the the past... it intrigues my passion to design something elegant, wearable and feminine...but cool, and makes a new statement! I try to bring the past elements of the arts and incorporate that into each piece I dream about. Most nights are spent thinking about what I would like to wear maybe with a pair of jeans or with an elegant dress!
As a small child. my biggest influence in my life has been from both of my parents.
My mom is a water color artist and a antique collector...
when I was small, all my mom and dad did was go to antique shows and shops around the U.S looking for finds.. even, when I was not the thing to be into like it is today. They both taught me so much about the appreciation of the past, and nature ... I loved every minute of it! I guess that may seem strange for a child to be so involved, but I wanted to understand when, and who made such beautiful things. My home was always decorated with antiques and paintings...just ask any of my friends and they will say... "are we going to George Washington's house"? Funny huh... I will probably post some pictues of my familys art on this site. in the future..so you will understand what I am talking about! I thank God everyday that I have this passion .... this amazing gift that they gave me.
